Corona vaccination: Why is the second phase of senior vaccination special in India?
The second phase of the nationwide vaccination campaign against the corona virus will begin on Monday.
Senior citizens over the age of 60 at this stage; And people over the age of 45 and suffering from other diseases will be covered.
The vaccine will be administered free of charge at more than 10,000 government centers across the country, while more than 20,000 private hospitals will be vaccinated.This was preceded by the first phase of vaccination on 16 February, in which frontline workers and health workers were vaccinated.
In Gujarat, more than 4400 people have died due to corona, while more than two lakh 60 thousand patients have been able to do corona.
More than one crore people of the country were flooded with corona, in which more than two lakh people were killed.Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar told a press conference here on Wednesday that the second phase of the vaccination campaign would cover people over the age of 60 even if they do not have any illness.

The campaign will cover people over the age of 45 with co-morbidities (co-pathology such as blood pressure, diabetes, liver). The number of such beneficiaries is estimated to be over 100 crore.
The first phase covered doctors, nurses, police personnel, cleaners and corona related staff.
