Commonwealth Games India gets another bronze medal, after Pujari now Harjinder Kaur wins bronze in weightlifting
Weightlifter Harjinder Kaur won bronze medal for India by lifting 212 kg. This is India's ninth medal in Commonwealth Games 2022.

Indian weightlifters have continued to perform brilliantly at the Commonwealth Games. India has so far won 7 medals in Commonwealth Games 2022. Indian weightlifter Harjinder Kaur won the bronze medal in the women's 71 kg category with a brilliant performance at the Commonwealth Games.

Harjinder Kaur won the bronze medal by lifting 93 kg in snatch and 119 kg in clean and jerk for a total of 212 kg . England's Sarah Davies won the gold in this event while Canada's Alexis Ashworth won the silver. Harjinder's first try at 90 kg in the snatch failed, but after successfully lifting it in the second try, he lifted 93 kg in his third try. He then successfully lifted 113, 116 and then 119 kg in Klein & Jurg.
India's 7th medal in weightlifting
Indian weightlifters are doing very well in The Commonwealth Games 2022. India has so far won 7 medals in the weightlifting. Mirabai Chanu, Jeremy Lalrinunga and Achinta Shuli achieve a gold medals. Meanwhile, Bindiarani Devi won silver, Harjinder Kaure bronze, Sanket Mahadev silver and Gururaj Pujari won bronze. Last time India won 9 medals in weightlifting. Now it carry on to be seen whether India can break its anterior record or not.
Sarah has created this record
In this event, Sarah set three new records at the Games, lifting 103 kg in the snatch and 126 kg in the clean and jerk, plus a total of 229 kg. Ashworth lifted a total of 214 (91 kg and 123 kg).
